Superb blue hour on the Old woman A very beautiful postcard that Mr Gustave Eiffel would have surely liked !!! Curious, from this point of view one would swear that the building has a cross on its top. Craig cheer for the good management of the lights.
With all my friendships and very good Sunday,

Perfect pov and wonderful colors and light.
emilbo (22262) 2010-09-19 10:43

JFS (32459) 2010-09-19 11:17
Paris c'est toujours Paris. Great close-up of the tower.
Have a good week friend

carlosmarin (11954) 2010-09-19 11:47
beautiful POV of the Eiffel Tower in blue hour.
I have this same framing and POV, but during the day. Didn't go through there, at blue hour.
Tomorrow, I will post my night version of the Tower, but from Palais de Chaillot, and night closed after rain.
cagla (4108) 2010-09-19 12:09
It is also fun to view eiffel with your pov and with your blue... Wonderful exposure, thanks for sharing.
gildasjan (41212) 2010-09-19 12:22
Une belle contre-plongée sur cette tour dotée qui claque devant ce ciel bleu nuit.
saxo042 (37052) 2010-09-19 12:55
The illuminated tower looks indeed very good in this picture. We have seen it many times before, maybe not with these marvellous colours, gold against the deep blue sky. Beautiful!
ciakgiak (30407) 2010-09-19 13:14
I agree with you! No respectable collection without the Eiffel Tower!
I have to come in France, soon!
Great shot my dear friend, the POV, the colors and the light are perfect.

Hello my dear Craig
Great architecture shot from low angle approach.
Victory of usage of 24mm and appropriate shutter speed/exosure. Nice composition and well calcurated framework as well. Blessing on your great job and thanks for sharing, Have a nice start of new week and Best regards,
PS. Some friends ask me how many festivals we have in Japan. The answer is not offically comfirmed but around 20,000 is commonly said . I will take up them as much as possible for my life.
emka (74963) 2010-09-19 23:30
Yes, it is fun! Quite original photo of the Eiffel Tower. My personal collection is still not complete - I have no ET.

Hi Craig, this icon could be photographed 5 zillion times and I'd still want to see every single shot. It's amazing and I know what you mean about being fun to photograph. And by the way, your version is excellent with that trademark Blue & Gold Hour fast becoming your signature...why not export it to our Gallic friends? I also like how the trees partially provide a natural frame the lower half of the tower, breaks up the graphical elements a bit. TFS, have a good day, Lisa

You're mostly right about this piece of iron (Romanian iron from Resita factories)...Anyway, you're capture is very good, so, congratulations.
sevy (15357) 2010-09-20 6:20
I like your realisation with a good balance between blue and golden tones.
A classical subject but really well managed. Really the blue hour is a good time for architectur shot.
npecanhuk (62452) 2010-09-20 6:25
Classical but always wonderful!
At night, it gets even more beautiful!
I really enjoyed it!
TFS - congrats!
Have a very good week,

I really do miss checking out photos every now and then... although I had times before to check but not enough time... I'm alone at the hostel now.. so just relaxing and will be playing with my laptop whole day :-)

Pourquoi gâcher son plaisir. De tous les points de vue la Tour est photogénique. La différence est la lumière et l'heure et ici c'est trèsréussi.
Hansaphotos (6541) 2010-09-20 8:31
A very fine capture of the old iron lady. I love Paris, so I don`t mind see the Eiffel Tower again and again. The POV is well selected. Marvellous colours, light and sharpness. TFs. Have a great and productive week.
Best regards, Erling

Really very nice your architecture photos this one is very sharp and very well composed.Very interesting perspective and lovely colours.
mkamionka (29724) 2010-09-21 1:39
you are completely right.
I have to go back to my shots from Paris...
No seriously: I had on my last trip to Paris a new camera which was supposed to be better but because I did not test it before most of my blue hour shots were not sharp. I am really depressed about it but well there is a reason to come back to this city again...
I may find something though as you say to complete the gallery :)
You have captured it at a perfect blue hour timing. Amazing contrast of the yellow lights with dark blue sky,
very well done,
Juntas (7958) 2010-09-21 3:52
HI Craig. Very nice! The contrast with the blu sky is beautiful and your point of view was well chosen. Great colors and perfect exposure. Well done.
Have a nice day.

You forgot one important thing: it's always a spectacular and fine view, no matter how many times you have seen it!
Your blue hour is excellent, I love the golden hue you have obtained and the way you have framed.
korbee (6617) 2010-09-22 9:50
Very hard to photographe Graig because nearly all position around the tower are difficult, you succeeded well here.
hardyuno (4650) 2010-09-22 11:14
I think you have all said what is important, or not?
And I think it was funny for you, great perspective.
jlbrthnn (79791) 2010-09-24 5:48
As French, it is a photograph which I would have liked to make. Framing is very well imagined, the colors are remarkable. Clearness is astonishing. congratulations.
Have a nice day
kordinator (14831) 2010-09-25 12:30

Good evening Craig,
thank You for comments on my photography.
I absolutely agree about warm feelings when see someone's photographs about our country.
This place is so famous, so well-known, was photographed zillion times, but every time I look at another photo found some new and interesting details.
Same in your picture - nice light with dark-blue background creates spirit of magic and romantics. Also dark vegetation in the foreground and black frame adds to overall charm of the photo.
adidas5nb (4624) 2013-04-01 20:18
