Inside the 1000 year old cathedral San Pietro extra muros (St. Peter in the fields) near Bosa, Sardinia. The light is not coming from the small rosette in the back but from a window at the left.
The old Bosa was around this place, for the new Bosa please see one of my last posts.

Che immagine incredibile.
La composizione è perfettamente bilanciata e lo sguardo verso la luce da un significato particolare allo scatto.

A lesson in light hunting and contrast - fantastic. The elements are stripped to their bare minimum. Despite the mass of pitch black in this shot, there is not an inch wasted here at all - it all makes the composition work so well.

another good example of what one can do with the spot metering! Love this one also. Maybe I would have tried a square crop to take some of that black away. Still, very moody, I like that.

In a scene of intimacy, which play with light is the most important.
Very well done.

Nothing much but what a vituoso capture! Difficult to handle such a light! And your composition is stylish, minimalist but warm, mysterious but intimate, poetic as if the little rosette was the moon or a dancing alien cube... Great mood! Fantastic!

Congratulations on your website Christian, it is fresh and pulsating. the faces and the stories. Putting it together must have been monumental but great work. the project which you've done in partnership with other photogs is something very unique, very commendable. congrats..
this shot previsualized very well, i like the short study that went into it to make this..one cannot make/see these if he/she is in a hurry. I dont know, if that small rosette is characteristic only to this cathedral in Bosa, Sardinia this is indeed a great shot..

The exposure is just supreme here...true to what you said in our intro "I prefer to do my work before or in the moment of exposure". You conceived the shot well, balanced the elements (only 2 here) extremely well & came up with a great photo.
I saw your website Christian...it's a goldmine of amazing pictures..moments, light, landscapes & great character studies in the 'colours of Carinthia'...have less words to describe your work...speechless I would say!
