Photographer’s Note
This is a Mercedes Smart car. They are gas powered and can go 100mph/160kph. They are all over germany. You need a car like this if you want to find a parking space downtown!
Comments are very welcome. I just shot this photo for the curious people out there who have never seen one. I didnt try to make a masterpiece out of this shot. Thanks

It's very hard to make a good photo of a car. There is a whole industry on how to present a car, and your photo will be compared with that. ( "What, no bikini-babe on the hood?" ;) ). Seriously, the background is very distraction. Normally you can blur it out but i see that even a f/2.8 didn't do the trick. The photo is very straightforward, a kind of shot that that 's usefull for identification purpose, not for display on the possibilities of photography. Technically, the car is underexposed. Perhaps only nice for people who are interested in cars?

You've been able to isolate the car through contrasts, and I like how you've captured it in its natural environment (I'm writing like it's an animal!). It seems slightly out of focus. Have you tried using the rule of thirds for this one, perhaps putting the car off center to the left of the frame to allow it 'room' to 'go'?

Lovely car. I agree with Sir William for the background and David for the rule of third. So I made a w/s to illustrate what they mean.
