Photographer’s Note

#3 in this mini series, and taken very close to #1. This young chap has done what any kid his age would do, adapt to his surroundings and just started playing. He has found a length of flexible metal hose that can be flung around his head and body at great speed. Great fun I'm sure, but the hose looked fairly well worn, and lots of metal slivers were flying off it too! He was happy, and for the short time that I saw him, he was unharmed. Had it been one of my two children, I'd have probably flown into a rage and ordered them to put the dangerous object down immediately. So a) my kids have the luxury of having real toys, and b) they have someone who watches over them. I'll be honest and say that neither (a) nor (b) is a catalyst for happiness, and this boy has exhibited more ingenuity than my two have to date! A lesson for me that I need to expose them to real life just a bit more.
