Photographer’s Note
This is outside of Canyonlands National Park where the Colorado River appears again. I couldn't decide to leave the boat in or take it out, so if somebody wants to do a workshop, be my guest.

Hi Stephen. You're on the way to build a good series on the scenic wonders of the western and southwestern U.S. This one is a good rendition of the colors and textural details to be found in the Canyonlands, and the presentation in horizontal layers is quite pleasant. I think you can give it a try in building a little more perspective and depth in your landscape photos - e.g. by trying a lower shooting angle and/or including foreground objects (trees, bushes, rocks, ...) in your compositions that help to gradually draw the eye of the viewer into the scene that you are showing. As far as your comment on the boat - I think it should remain in the photo (ideally it would be a bit further to the left) because it is the only element that helps the viewer to understand the sheer scale of this scenery (which is also an important consideration for landscape photography). Nice one, keep on shooting!
