Photographer's Note

ENGLISH: This is Bridestowe Lavender Farm about 1.5 hours drive east of Launceston. Lavender farming was established in the area by an English couple called the Dennys in 1924. The Tasmanian climate and red soil are considered perfectly suited to the production of export-quality French Lavender. The Farm is today run by the Raven Family and apart from being beautiful, has a nice cafe to enjoy lunch and the view, together with a gift shop where Bridestowe's products can be bought.

Hello Lisa,
I like the framing here, using the tree as an anchor point before the eyes go on to look over the lavender fields towards the distant hills. The lavender tones are very nicely rendered and the image has a wonderful depth. The sky also seems to take on a lavender tint making a fine backdrop for the lovely tree.

uen composition très sobre , mais efficace , car cet arbre vert magnifique est bien mis en valeur par les champs de lavande , et la petite montagne à doite .

sembra davvero uno scorcio della Provenza questa tua bella foto dominata dal bellissimo albero e dalle file ben definite della lavanda in fiore. Bella composizione di grande respiro dai bellissimi colori.

Onestamente preferisco questa immagine.
E' più areosa rispetto la precedente, anche se la precedente è più grafica.
Bellissimo l'inserimento dell'albero che essendo decentrato, rispetta la regola dei terzi.
Buona gestione della luce e grande nitidezza.

The lonely tree is well placed in your composition and the colours of the lavender field are great. I can almost feel the fragrance and hear the buzz of the bees above!

Hi Lisa,

A nice image. You have broken the series of beaches and shores. The foreground tree is very imposing and looks great. The distant mountains look good. The patterns and curves made by the lavender farm is nice and soothing.

Cette version a ma préférence avec la présence de cet arbre majestueux dans la composition. C'est vrai qu'il y a un petit air de Provence!Ce champ de lavandes a des couleurs superbes.

Hi Lisa,
Reddish brown and violet is quite special colour combination. And line patterns add a graphic touch to this. Really not a scene I would expect over there.
Could be brightened a little, I guess.

you may not think of it right away, but this would actually be on my list when traveling to your continent...why not? looks beautiful, and it would be a pleasant memory.
that large tree seems so lost, so out of place, but still looks great - complimenting the lavender.

adesso ho capito da dove arriva tutta la lavanda francese, altro che Provenza! ;-)))
Hai catturato una bellissima foto con questo stupendo e incredibile colore viola ottenendo anche un piacevole effetto grafico. Immagino il profumo che si sentiva in mezzo a tutta quella lavanda. Eccellente anche la composizione con l'albero in primo piano che crea una buona profondità di campo. Molto bella, brava!

Bonjour Lisa,
c'est vrai que cette photo a un peu l'esprit de la provence ou du midi français, les lavandes y sont pour beaucoup, mais aussi les montagnes à l'arrière plan qui feraient penser au Massif Central.
Une photo bien cadrée aux lumières magnifiques et douces, les couleurs étant fortes.

O my God, how could I miss it! I believe in the miniature you cannot really get a grasp of how wonderful it may become.
I love it. The lone tree is fantastic but it is its context the wonderful pattern of lavender fields which makes it so attractive. You have composed it masterfully: the patterns are so pretty!
And there is a nice mountain on the horizon.

I indeed would think that this is a landschape from France. Realy like composition with the lavendellines and the mountain behind. The tree is well placed in teh frame.

en cuanto a su contenido,
pero la belleza del árbol frondoso
en este marco hermoso de los campos de lavanda:
(contrastes - del color)
tiene una fuerza grande.
