Photographer’s Note

This shot was taken with a digital cam without a flash, so it captured alot of motion. In the foreground you see the soloist dancer and in the background are the musicians, all of them were doing a lot of moving, thats why there is no clarity at all, which makes it look like a painting. Photography wasn't even allowed during this show....but I broke the rules, oops. ^_^

well you broke the rules of the fashion show..
as far as photography is concerned... i dont believe there are any rules.. as long as you work withing a set of given rules.. in art, you'll never progress.. i wish peoople on TE would stop talking about rules in photography..

this is a really really good attempt at fashion photography.. i think if the shutter speed was at 1/4 seconds it would have been a little better.. but this too is really good..
you've still managed to captured the grace with which the model is walking and have managed to transfor that into some kind of an illusion.

It was a great idea to break the rules. I love flamenco. It must have been fantastic to be there.. This is good. I like the appearance of the musicians allot. Digital seams to fail, in my opinion, with low light scenes whereas, this photo exceeds my expectations from the Dig. format

Rocking! Colour contrast and composition are superb. As you say, this looks more like a painting and has SO much grace. I think you really got a fantastic shot here.
