Photographer’s Note
Christmas feasting at our home begins with a relish tray prepared by my husband. It is his gift to the family. He includes mushrooms, carrots, green peppers, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, and both green and black olives. The bowl for the ranch dressing dip is made out of a green pepper.
The lighting in this shot is provided by natural light coming in through a window just to the left, plus the under-cabinet halogen lights. I stopped down exposure by one full step to enrich colors and allow me a clearer hand held shot. I know the crop is awkward on the left with only half a candle showing.
My family was hungry and I could not go through the production of getting out the tripod...I fear they would have had me for dinner! ;)

That's some healthy feast. I cannot think of one such healthy snack in our traditional Polish Christmas food :)

Nice picture, it's very hard to shoot the food ( for me ) i like the composition and the colors, and especially the reflections well placed.
good work
Happy new year now !
