Photographer's Note

Royal palace, part of the Buda Caste, is building that has very interesting history. Built in early 20th century, as magnificent represent of mighty Habsburg Monarchy, was a masterpiece of Hungarian architecture and arts. Then, durring the Second world war, it was heavily demolished durring the siege of Budapest. After the war, new communist regime modified palace's look, as they consider proper for the new rule in Hungarian society deprived from monarchy's heritage. New dome was build in 1960's, and palace became home for several cultural institutions, Hungarian National Gallery, and Historical Museum.
Beside bautiful facade, interesting courtyards and gardens, it balkony brings astonishing look over the Pest, Danube, Gellert Hill, and Chain bridge. It brings you a bit of royal atmosphere, and great sculptures you can admire durring your visit.
