Girls in Harajuku
For youth culture Japan - "cool" and "cute" - Harajuku, just north of Shibuya, is the number one fashionable, fun, faddish, ridiculous, crazy "crib" to "chill out". Come along on a Sunday and you'll see it all!
Harajuku first burst onto the scene in 1964 - the Olympic year. With the Olympic gymnasium and village located nearby, the prospect of meeting somebody famous in the street drew people from far and wide. Today, the area includes Takeshita Street, Meiji Dori Avenue and Omotesando Dori Avenue.
Takeshita Dori Street is opposite the Takeshita Dori Exit of Harajuku Station. Here, shops sell a most extraordinary blend of goods reflecting the Japanese notions of "cute", "cool and American" and "rebellious and British". In other words a strange mixture of Hello Kitty, hip-hop and the infamous British punk. As for the shoppers? Well, any form of fancy dress goes.

Jeito diferente. Chama a atenção. Mas observando essas fotos, todas elas são normalmente muito bonitas!
Boa foto. Bom enquadramento.

I liked your photos of Harajaku and your note is very interesting. This is probably the best one because in the others I did not find the background so good. In this case the black car fits to the colours of the dresses. This photo (and the other) accomplishes the target of TE. Learn about the world through photography.

The photo can be improved by cropping the hand at the right side and the car on top and blurring the rest of the photo other than the two girls.

This is a very nice - almost black and white - shot. And, even it was planned a black taxi(? I thought black taxis are only in Osaka ;) ) is in the background, what make the atmosphere even more "gothic" like. By the way did you ask the girls for a photo? Because just one is looking into your direction, and she looks some kind of surprised (^_^).
I took a photo which is so similar... If you like to compare:

This is one of the reason I love Japan. Your photo reminds me of my last trip to Tokyo. Such a strange and interesting place!
