Photographer's Note

Langgar also has a more modern side just next to the Kedah mausoleum. Along the river there is the traditional Malay settlement with wooden houses on stilts. Just a few dozen meters away there is the more modern face of the small town around the Majid Tunku Kalthum seen in the photograph. Here lives a Malay community as well but the architecture is much more modern. This mosque actually is the royal mosque and is used when the sultan family visits the mausoleum.

Bonjour Urs,
très jolies couleurs ici, aidées par des lumières parfaites. Des formes à l'ancienne dans du matérieu moderne. Dommage de la profusion des fils électriques qui vont en tous sens.
Pas commun de voir des gens en mobylette sans casque.

hi urs,
something unique about this mosque is the onion-shape of the dome, common shape in the past era which rarely seen nowadays. as far as i can remember, there is only one of similar dome in singapore, the historic sultan mosque. Good presentation, main subject clearly defined in good color and contrast, well-exposed, sharpness and the lively blue sky. dynamic inclusion of the biker, a nice touch. Compliment to yr invaluable doc serie of this place.

Nicely presents the mosque. I see here is the muezzin's voice Speaker has already been resolved.

Hi Urs,
Elaborate mosque that completed with many little domes, good frame with including a passing motor and riders in typical muslim wear, however helmet is more safety for them, thanks for sharing a harmonious view.
