Photographer's Note

I was going over some of my pictures and came on this shot of a New Forest bridge. The New Forest is not a new forest, in fact not much of a forest, there are areas of trees but mainly open heather and gorse, but it is now a National Park as there are many endangered species that live in the forest.
Going back many 100's of years it was given the name of the New Forest by a King that wanted to use the then forest that was new to him as a hunting area, so the name has stuck
