Kammerslusen right? I spend weeks there every summer of my childhood so the place is very special to me. Saw lots of spectacular sunsets and caught lots of fish. didn't play with photography at the time so I appreciate this!

As for the pic (hard to be objective); yeah it's great. A more classic comp could have been achieved by cropping part of the bottom and a bit of the left. but as Bob notes this works well. But the noise is distracting (so is, in my view, the frame) Still a very moody shot.

The frame is mentioned and the noise is mentioned... a very peaceful moment caught beautifully. I think the bottom is very nice with the rocky texture, so don't crop it away. If you should crop... take away the upper part entirely and keep the angler and the rocks so the rocks and the water make a line diagonally ca from corner to corner. The best of course would be if you alternatively did take such a shot this day... So heavy cropping would increase the noise even more.

There's a Monet painting of London which has just the same colours as this. If I remember rightly, he has a figure in a boat, and he's fishing, too. Very nicely done.
