Photographer’s Note
This is the castle Rosenborg in the heart of Copenhagen.
I took this picture on a very sunny day in May, after having spent quite a lot of time sunbathing in the garden of the castle, something a lot of Danes do on sunny days.
I have to say, the idea for this picture came from a friend, who wants me to say that always when I show this photo ;)
Rosenborg was built between 1606 and 1634 by King Christian IV as a sort of countryhouse. It was built in Dutch Renaissancestyle. Frederik VI decided in 1833 to make a museum of it and you can still visit the castle, where you can see the crown-jewels.

Dette billede viser Rosenborg Slot i København på en meget solrig eftermiddag. Jeg tog billedet efter en idé af en veninde.

The trees gives the pic a nice great natural framing. It's also a magnificent royal castle, built by the same king who built the swedish city Kristianstad. Here in sweden now of days he's known as "Kristian tyrann" in english Kristian the tyrant.
Well done Lars

The papparazi view is interesting and the light very sweet. Maybe a little too much green ? Whatever, a good shot.

Lars, bonjour !
Cette vue à travers les frondaisons est superbe. J'aime l'opposition entre l'ordre des bâtiments et le joyeux désordre du végétal. Les couleurs également s'opposent pour le meilleur effet.

Hi Lars - this is great, in this instance I really don't mind the fact that the top of the tower is hidden, very pleasant framing, even the white sky works well in bringing out the tower

Hello Lars
Beautiful castle. I like the capture with the framing by the branches. Nice colours, although the sky isn`t perfect ;).

Hello Lars,
This photo is now almost three years since you took it, and over two years since you posted it. It has appeal to me for its remarkable resemblance to Georgetown University (founded in 1789) where I was an undergraduate physics major), and the story has always been that the University of Louvain had inspired it. Clearly, Louvain and Rosenborg are cousins. Nicely composed with the trees providing an effective frame for the building and tower.
Warm regards,
Bulent
