Photographer’s Note
This is a view of the Great Wall at Jiayuguan, that is to say the extreme western point of the Wall in China.
Through the years, this part of the wall has been destructed. In 1987, the government decided to rebuild the Wall, hiring students for this work.
Each time they put up a brick on the Wall, they earned 0.01 dollar...
