Winter in Athens Photo

Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken yesterday afternoon in the small fishing port in Glyfada...With temp of 17C and sun it was a fantastic day...The sea was completely calm and the fishermen were prepairing for their night fishing session...As for the rest of us...it was a good opurtunity for a coffee in the open air cafes in the area and some nice photos around;-)...

Hey, I know this scene. It is like something from Istanbul. Also it exists many small towns in Anatolia.

This subject was one of favorites of previous age Turkish photographers.

Some of your photos are a proof of brotherhood of our nations. Needles to say, brothers often have some problems :)

Technically, sharpness, colors,framing are perfect. But I prefer a little bit less detail in the background.

The boat is a very interesting one, it has a beautiful line and the choosen angle increases its capacities to navigate.

Yeah... very difficult for us to imagine... here in Bologna it's around 5° c.. a bit colder... nice colors George... What are you trying to do? Trying to make us move to Greece??

Hi George, to me it looks like a summer photo; this time in Sweden all boat owners have their boats on land. Very colourful and very nice reflections. Well done!

Πραγματικά ο ήλιος της Ελλάδας μας κάνει θαύματα. Δεν είναι μόνο που φωτίζει σωστά τα θέματά μας αλλά μας ξεσηκώνει και για καφεδάκι σε ανοικτό χώρο καταμεσής του χειμώνα! Άντε να το κάνεις αυτό στην Γερμανία! :) Ωραία φωτογραφία, αρκετά διαυγής και με όμορφα τονισμένα χρώματα!

Wow, quite a different concept of "winter" that you are currently treated to, George, compared to what we have in Germany these days. A nice and very colorful scene from the marina, with the boat in front and its reflection making a very pleasing subject. Wonderful shot.
