Pim, Great moody photo. Was it winter or fall?
To get a different view and more light, I would have walked to the fence to do away with all of the other distracting things in the garden and to get more of the gold grass in the foreground. Since I was not invited to the trip! HAHAHA, well, I walked at home with Photoshop and cloned and cropped the picture with very nice results. See the results in the workshop segment.

That's the kind of picture I love to find on TE. Many things could maybe be edited in that picture to make it look better, but afterall, if it looks like this why change it ?...

I think what makes this shot are the great colors -- the deep green, the multi-color sky, and the bronze field. They also neatly divide the photo into segments. They lend a sort of "classic" look to it. I also think the slight "halo" effect around the windmills helps them to stand out.

This is really an exquisit picture!!! although I do find some objects quite distracting, I still think that the picture is very good!
