Den gamle og den nye by, the old and the new town.

This picture was taken in Den Gamle By (the Old Town) in the Danish city of Århus.

Den gamle by is an open-air museum in the centre of Århus. The museum opened in 1914 after an idea of Peter Holm.
In the last 10 years, the little village was visited by more than 3 million guests.

I took this picture because of the contrast between old and new. It was a grey and rainy day.

This is fantastic picture.

Although I helped you a little bit with this very nice picture, I do a workshop for you.
(Cause I increased my workshop competences a little bit.)

I made the picture straighter and sharper, and a little bit warmer with some more red. I hope you will appreciate it.

A fine composition and I like that mix of old and new you spotted here. Yes the Old town of Århus surely a place to visit - too bad I havn't been there for years and with a digital camera.

Good vertical oriented shot Lars where the contrast of old and new buildings is well presented. Fine lead of the channel and of course the naked tree is efectful. Good job, well seen.

Misty, humide and cold... Interesting style opposition : vegetal vs artificial, old vs new, liquid vs solid...

Very nice colors despite the rather foggy weather, and excellent reflexions on the water (which is something your are always very successfull to achieve). Perhaps a little more sharpness in my opinion.
