Wouldn't say alas to the absence of sunlight because this picture is absolutely gorgeous. The cobalt blue sky is fantastic - complementing the red desert perfectly. Excellent sharp photo and very nice perspective.

contrast between the dramatic sky and rock is amazing! greenish bush adds a lot to the composition. shape of the rocks are also nice.
