Sesimbra village of the fishing, with beaches of only beauty, and crystalline waters of the great biodiversity. The maritime landscape that if it cuts to the long one of the coast, constitutes one of the many reasons to desire to know the region, whose great reference is without a doubt the village of Sesimbra, headquarters of city and since always known by "Pearl of the Blue Coast". Having initially as main económica activity it fishes it, Sesimbra fishing land passed to be known had its tourist potentialities. To all this natural and monumental wealth, the hospitable smiles of the gentes of this region are joined that in each compass of wait do not hesitate to establish dialogue with all the visitors who soon become friends in one to unweave of histories that appear in each sing. Created the 8 of April of 1536 for D. Jorge, son of king D. João II, master of Sant ' iago and Aviz, the clientele of Santiago is one of the three clienteles who compose concelho of Sesimbra. Gone down of the place of the Ribeira, the gentes of 1536 had constructed houses together to the beach and had launched in the sea in search of the sustenance, having thus created the village today called Sesimbra.
