I spoke to Bharat. He is from a nearby village and visits Pushkar Festival every year.. This year he is more concerned about paying his mom and dad some money.. than his fun at the festival. He asked me to pay him for taking this snap.

For a first image this is a very good one.
Welcome to TE .
I might have cropped it a bit, but this is a nice portrait.

Really well lit face with the sun coming from the side. All the elements are there - the big turban, hard eyes, ear-rings, desert jacket and ring on his fingers. Nice DOF; an excellent portrait.

Did you give him any money for the snap?

okkk.. we have a demanding and practical young man in the making. a lovely first capture for TE. Welcome to Trek Earth. nice choice of black and white too:)

Welcome to TE Kar. Like the others said, really well seen shot and I am very happy you are sharing this with us. I think a tighter crop would make this photo even better. The turban on his head casts a almost omnious shadow on a his face...as if there is a trouble in the future. The shadow along with the expression on his face really captures his emotions quite well.

Good portrait, well composed. Nice expression on the boy. Well captured.
Welcome to TE Karthik.

Kartik what to add when fellow TE members have said it so far,.. great composition.

Good protrait, Karthik... Itīs not so easy to catch the soul of people, what they are thinking, but you have managed... Congratulations from Madrid.

Great use of light. The contrast between light and shadow is very good especcially because we still can see details on the darker area.

Maybe a small crop from the right side would be nice to uncenter the view but it's a good image.

Quite beautiful! It make sme want ot g to Pushkar for the festival! I like the composition and the black and white gives a sense of timelessness. Quite lovely!
