Photographer’s Note
The sun sparkled off of the rippled sand, and I looked with interest at the wind-carved moats around the rocks. Engulfed by the heat – both direct from the sun and reflected from the sand – I began to climb.
The wind gently gusted, and I turned to see my footsteps obliterated by the softly blown sand. Arriving at the hill it had looked as if I were the first to ever set foot on it – now I saw that someone could have just been up there, but still no sign would remain; the wind and sand worked together to erase all human trace.
