Photographer’s Note

Elgin cathedral is affectionately known as the ‘Lantern of the North’. From the time of its construction in the first half of the 13th century.

The east end of the building is the most complete part of the cathedral to survive. The choir and stunning presbytery, dating from around 1270.

Filters: Half grey grad + Circular polar.

Swietna robota Panie kolego, wszystko dopracowane w najmniejszym szczegole. Znakomicie utrzymane swiatlo i dobry balans miedzy niebem a ziemia. Dobre kolory i ostrosc. W ogole bardzo ciekawe miejsce i chetnie bym tam pobiegal z kamera.

Excellent POV, brilliant contrast between the sky and the lush green grass of this old church ruin and cemetery. Wonderful architecture. Must have been a perfect winter's day. Good use of light and shade.

I like how you have captured this with the side of the ruin bathed in the warm sunlight, it brings out the detail on the stonework. Good work.

Czesc Bartek,
trudne ale piekne swiatlo. Trudne bo czesc w zachodzacym swietle a reszta w chlodnym cieniu, nie mniej swietnie sobie poradziles i efekt jest bardzo udany.
Architektura bardzo piekna z urokliwym jesli tak mozna powiedziec cmentarzem z przodu.
