Photographer’s Note
The Mermaid's Cave and the wail of a banshee:
As a follow up to yesterdays post of Dunluce castle here is a cave that runs beneath the riuns. A banshee or fairy spirit's wail is still said to be heard during wintry storms around the ruins.
Climbing down into this dark and eerie cave I could not believe my luck as a hint of a rainbow could be seen in the distance. In the darkness I made haste and built a composition as best I could and merged 6 images to build a HDR image.

A picture that shows well your very high technique in taking landscape photos.
An almost impossible light condition very well managed with the extra bonus of the rainbow.
The wide-angle lens view is perfect.

Hi Stephen, even without the rainbow, the shot it superb. The light you manage to capture and control in every one of shots is something to aspire to. I like the mysterious atmoshphere you've created here, accentuated by the vertical and tight framing. The light in the FG and the rainbow being icing on the cake. TFS, Lisa
