Il Palazzo della Civiltà del Lavoro noto anche come Colosseo Quadrato è uno dei simboli dell'EUR, quartiere di Roma
Progettato dagli architetti Giovanni Guerrini, Ernesto Bruno La Padula e Mario Romano, il palazzo fu costruito tra il 1938 e il 1943..
Si tratta di una costruzione imponente: la superficie coperta è di 8.400 m2, per una cubatura 205.000 m3 ed un'altezza di 50 metri (68 con il basamento).Il Colosseo Quadrato,, voluto da Benito Mussolini, ha 6 file orizzontali di 9 archi ciascuna.
Il Palazzo, ricoperto all'esterno interamente in travertino, è un parallelepipedo su base quadrata a sei piani, e sorge su un podio con due gradinate collocate ai due alti opposti. Ai quattro angoli del podio sono collocati quattro gruppi scultorei equestri raffiguranti i Dioscuri, i due mitici eroi greci, figli di Zeus e Leda.

Designed by architects Guerrini, La Padula and Romano, the palace was built between 1938 and 1943.
It's a huge building: with area of 8400 m2, for a volume 205,000 m3 and a height of 50 meters (68 with the base). The Squared Coliseum, chosen by Benito Mussolini, has 6 horizontal rows of 9 arcs each.
The Palace, covered outside, entirely by travertine, has square base with six floors and stands on a hill with two steps placed at the two opposite sides. At the four corners of the hill, four equestrian sculptures are placed, representing the Dioscuri, the two mythical Greek heroes, sons of Zeus and Leda.
