Photographer’s Note

Still in the lovely village of Cordes-sur-Ciel. We are bottom of the Paster Noster stairs which lead to Clock Door (Porte de l'Horloge), one of the doors of the fourth enclosure of the city.

Because of the position of the sun, the left part of the street was very dark. But since I took the photo as RAW format I could post process the photo to make this side brighter without degrading overall quality.

j'aime bien cette vue en contre-plogée sur cet escalier menant l'oeil , naturellement , sur la porte de l'horloge .

ah le RAW! C'est vrai quand même qu'on peut rattraper pas mal de trucs...J'aime bien ces compo qui mène adroitement à ton sujet. Le côté gauche reste très sombre malgré tout mais j'imagine que c'était difficile de faire autrement dans les conditions d'éclairage...

Bonjour Olivier,

Une ruelle qui à du charme, un cachet qui mérite une belle capture comme tu la fait.
Les tons sont chaud, les couleurs sont belles et l'ensemble est plaisant. Le côté gauche un peu sombre est bien retravaillé, bravo pour la composition.

Jolie contre plongée , qui mène le regard vers l'église , par ce superbe vieil escalier , auquel les herbes qui y poussent apportent beaucoup de charme .

Hello Olivier.
A very nicely composed picture of this clock tower above the steps in the delightful village. Your exposure, with the help of the CPL filter, is excellent and deals very well with the contrast between light and shadow. The sky is superb, and in this case the lens distortion is a very appealing feature of the photo. Very well done.

Ce village est tellement magnifique que tous les points de vue différents sont aussi sublimes comme ici avec cet escalier qui mène à l'église, une tres bonne perspective,une lumioère tres douce et magnifique sur la couleur des pierres de ce beau village
