Hagia Sophia is an ancient christian basilicum constructed in the VIth eeuw. In 1453, Constantinople was conquered by the Ottoman Turks and Hagia Sophia was converted in a mosque. To day, the edifice is a museum.

Hello Roger,
very nice architecture shot of this religious building in Istanbul. The architecture is very interesting as well as the history. Nice colours and the grey sky in the background creates a special atmosphere. Well done.

Ciao Roger,
ottimo POV che include bene la vista dell'intera basilica di Hagia Sophia ad Istambul.
La giornata a quanto sembra non era delle migliori, ma la foto è venuta ugualmente apprezzabile.

Ti ho comunque fatto un WS dove aumento la luce e riduco il rumore del cielo.

Spero sia di tuo gradimento.

Hi Roger,
The dark clouds are quite enhancing here and makes this mosque look even more impressive. Very good colours! A slight pity with that scaffolding but who can help that?

A good capture of this world famous mosque. I like the soft light and tones resulting from the heavily overcast sky, which makes a nice neutral backdrop for the splendid architecture. Very good sharpness.

Bonjour Roger,
J'aime savoir que l'ancienne basilique est devenue un musée, après sa seconde destinée. Le ciel gris met en valeur les couleurs rouge et or. Bon cadrage très descriptif. Belle et nette réalisation. Bravo.

That's a bit an unusual Hagia Sophia capture, but it's a nice one, very dramatic with the dark clouds, it must have been raining soon. Excellent sharpness and vibrant colors despite the sky. Well done

Anche con le nuvole, i lavori di ristrutturazione e i bazar intorno Santa Sofia ha sempre il suo imponente fascino da mille e una notte. Ce la proponi in versione autunnale, melanconica e severa, in un composizione ben inquadrata e di grande chiarezza. Un bel reportage di viaggio.

Une tonalité très caractéristique pour ce magnifique édifice sous ce ciel j'imagine le tableau sous sous un bleu moutonneux et je suppose doit être un véritable pour un un passionné d'images devant une telle architecture.

malgrado il cielo grigio tu hai realzizzato una foto stupenda, perfetta nelle luci e nella definizione dei dettagli. Quardando la foto e leggendo le tue note si può ancora riconoscere la vecchia architettura delle chiesa cristiana, trasformata poi in moschea. La stessa cosa, ma al contrario, si può vedere anche in altri Paesi, specialmente in Spagna, dove le moschee sono state trasformate in chiese. Ogni vincitore ha un suo Dio...

Bonsoir Roger,

La prise de vue en coin permet de voir les détails et les couleurs de l'architecture de plusieurs côtés du musée. Les arbres cadrent bien l'édifice. Ce ciel gris menacant fait un bon contraste avec les autres couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée.
