Photographer’s Note
The road to Birdsville (in the SW corner of Queensland)from the east becomes dirt about 280km before Birdsville making for a dusty drive. Much of the road is flat but there a few hills. From the top of one ridge the views are spectacular with red ridges and soil, winding (dry) creek beds and of course the red road snaking away into the distance.

Ciao Ian,
nice shot,a beautiful landscape, arid but also with some vegetation that well it opposes with the color of the earth.

Hi Ian

Hello Ian, Was this along the Birdsville Track? I drove from Melbourne to Alice Springs but I felt I was unprepared for the journey along the track, would have loved to, maybe some day. It's the red of the Outback, no worries about that. The greenery forms an interesting contrast in colour, they also seem to snake along the flat, dry terrain. Nice one
Thanks
Regards
Santo
