Photographer’s Note
Not much creativity on my part, but the artistry has already been done hundreds of years ago, by the stonemasons who carved the best here. This is the real colour of the sandstone as it glows in the sunrise and sunset. The temples at Khajuraho in India are masterpieces of art and architecture. They are famous for their vertical bands of sculptures, which are not only beautiful but also depict erotic scenes. Almost every temple has some Kama Sutra carvings.
The temples at Khajuraho were built during the Chandella dynasty, which reached its apogee between 950 and 1050. Only about 24 temples remain today. They fall into three distinct groups and belong to two different religions – Hinduism and Jainism. They strike a perfect balance between architecture and sculpture. The Temple of Kandariya Mahadev is decorated with a profusion of sculptures that are among the greatest masterpieces of Indian art.
The Kandariya Mahadeva temple is the largest, tollest (31 Mts. high and surrounded by 108 miniature spires) and most ornate Hindu temple built by Vidyavarman in the medieval temple in western group found at Khajuraho. It is considered one of the best examples of temples preserved from the medieval period in India. Khajuraho was once the religious capital of the Chandela Rajputs and today is the 2nd most popular tourist destinations after Agra for foreign tourists in India. Inside the sanctum is a marble Shivling in the temple. The Archaeological Survey of India protects the temples, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site at Khajuraho.

Hi Mahindra
It's a very impressive temple and you boosted the boldness by using the sunset. Very nice color hue of the temple in contrast with the bluish sky. The only thing I would change, why not show the podium as well, on which the stands? I do not know if there were some hawkers or other things obstructing the view, you know better, you have been there. There is one other issue, I would go for vertical because the temple is vertical and not horizontal. However that are no major issues. Your shot is fine in sharpness and color saturation and not to forget, your note is excellent. Well done
Best regards
Urs

Hello Mahendra,
A stunning piece of architecture, a piece of art!
The upward point of view adds importance to the structure, and the sky works as a fine background colour wise...
Good details in the building and fine colour reproduction!
