Photographer’s Note
Many suprise from the Sabah Jungle. The leaves of this plant is intriguing, it is original, not artificial, may be you are same with me, unable to believe it is naturally while first looking on it. This type of plants is easy to find along the treking route behind Poring Hot Spring. The plant was wet after the rain. Some other unknow species are showing in WS. It is a good idea to buy a VCD at Sabah's tourism locations for study multi species that you never know before.

Hello Ally,
These leaves look really very unusually with serpentine patterns on them. But the holes at the ends of each pattern may say that these are traces done by some insects. Anyway, the picture is very interesting and decorative. Very good shot and informative note!

Hi Ally,
excellent photo work, you have chosen very well working POVs for all three photos that show the power of nature to create such a fantastic variety of species.
Concerning this plant, I agree to Sergiy, it really looks like the traces of insects. TFS!
Warm regards

Pozdrav.
Donji listovi su pojedeni od nekog insekta, ostao je mlad izdanak, lepa fotografija, boje i pravi trenutak snimka.
Sve najbolje, zeli vam Paja.

Bonjour Ally.
La nature nous réserve parfois des surprises et des mystères. Ici les feuilles semblent être décorées par quelques elfes ou génies des bois. Seuls les poètes s'attardent sur ces merveilles et peuvent même en faire de belles photos.
Bonne journée !
Amicalement

Hi Ally
A very sharp close up shot og these leaves of different green tones. I agreed with the rest that the pattern is the work of a leaf miner. The egg is laid on the underside of the leave.

I saw such kind of natural drawing in some leaves here in brazil, anyway these ones are much more evident and interesting.here the job of the worm inside the leaves is stronger.nice idea to show the natural artwork. perfect framing, sharpness anmd light

Hello Ally, Interesting shot of nature, my guess would be some type of Caterpillar has left that interesting snaking trail. Nice clear shot, those leaves really stand out against the blurred BG.
Thanks

Hi Ally,
The subject is well framed. The close-up point of view is showing the details and colors of the leaves. The surrounding light is giving a good contrast to the different tints of colors of the leaves. Have a nice day.
