Photographer’s Note
I have recently returned from a trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal and so I thought it appropriate that my first posting of this trip should include the roof of the world itself.
I took this photo from the the balcony just outside my room at Tengboche - the sun was rising on the 5th day of our trek.
Mt Everest at 8848 metres is on the left and Lhotse at 8511 metres and the 4th highest mountain in the world is on the right.

So - Nepal is where you having been hiding lately Marlene - there should be lots more great photos to follow this one.
This is a dramatic photo with that tough of sun and darkening down into the valley - superb.

dear Marlene,
a beautiful view shot of splendid mountains,
lighted pink cloud looks mysteriously shining,
and sharp tops with partial pink reflections show me something mystic feeling well,
thank you for your excellent shot,

Hi Marlene,
A very beautiful scene with this first sunlight on the top of the world. A view from an hotel window would be the perfect way see these mountains, I´m sure!
Kind regards

Hello Marlene
Nice POV of Mt Everest, it must have been fantastic to have actually been there to witness this majestic mountain. I like the way you have captured the light on her flanks and the clouds above. Good colour and sharpness, well done and welcome home

Hello Marlene,
Welcome back. I was a bit curious to find out where you had been. Same place, more or less, as the last picture you posted before departure. I can hardly imagine a more breathtaking view from a hotel balcony. The sun shines marvellously on the peaks of the Lhotse and the golden tinted clouds look great. In the valley it's still almost night.
A fine start to your new set of pictures. I'm looking forward to the rest.
Kind regards,
Gert
