gli aeroporti sono luoghi di eterna attesa - l'attesa di partire, l'attesa di chi arriva, l'attesa tra un volo e un altro. tra l'attesa vera e quella metaforica il passo e' breve - specialmente per chi negli aeroporti ci passa tanto tempo, come la sottoscritta. c'e' chi la trascorre perso nei propri pensieri e chi dorme. chi lavora ininterrottamente al proprio laptop e chi legge romanzi. chi compra e chi mangia. e poi ci sono quelli come me che passano i tempi di attesa ad osservare gli altri...

no other place epitomizes for me the concept of waiting like airports. waiting to leave, waiting for someone to arrive, waiting in-between flights. the step from reality to metaphor is short. there's people who wait lost in their reveries, people who sleep, people who work non-stop on their laptop and people who read novels, people who shop, people who eat... and then there's people like me, who spend their waiting time observing the other waiting people...

Dear Cristina, this is a beautiful shot - her expression is beautiful - I can't even really make out what it is! Moreover, I love the contrast between the sleeping individual in the foreground and the anticipating (lost in thoughts?!) lady in the background.

Hello Cristina,
You found a superb contrast between the, possibly, hopelessly bored woman, and the blurred sleeping child (?), in the foreground. It's a simple composition with fine contrasts between light and dark parts, and it really captures the essence of a large international airport. It could, of course, have been a bus-station or the waiting room of a dentist, but now that I know it's Schiphol I can read a lot more into it.

Hi Cris , Whatever the theory behind the photo it all adds up to a striking image , beautifully crafted .The expressions and range of tones compliment each other,all enhanced with the offset border.Its that lens again, that does it.Thanks Tom.

damit der Blick besser in die Ferne schweifen kann.. müsste sie im Bild weiter links sitzen. Du hättest 50 cm weiter nach links müssen. Aber auch so.. ein träumerisches Foto, das die stimmung voll rüberbringt.

This works really well in B&W, I think you have caught a decisive moment, it is nice to speculate what the young girl is thinking about. I think that she had good memories of a nice weekend.

ecco un'altra delle tue belle foto introspettive, in cui il messaggio viene amplificato dalla interpretazione in B/N. Questa è fresca di giornata!
Ecco un bel modo per non annoiarsi nelle lunghe attese all'aeroporto. .... Si, viaggiare... la ragazza della foto mi ha fatto venire in mente il grande Lucio.

Hello Cristina,
Bon quand je vois l'objectif que tu as utilisé, ça me fais rêver... Ca fais longtemps que je pense à investir dans une focale fixe à grande ouverture.
Ta photo est splendide avec ce flou au premier plan ! C'est très détaillé, les gris sont très eshtétiques avec un bon contraste. Le sentiment d'ennui et d'attente est très bien restitué.
Juste un détail : est ce que tu n'as pas essayé la même vue mais à pleine ouverture (f 1.8), j'aurais été curieux de voir la différence en terme de profondeur de champ.
En attendant, merci de ta visite et de tes commentaires sur ma galerie, bonne fin de week end, et encore bravo !

Un ritratto meraviglioso. Hai isolato perfettamente questo viso pensoso e sognante in un universo sfumato. Mi piace che sia preso in un aeroporto, è una bella illustrazione di qualcuno che va a partire e che vive e pensa in un altro mondo senza occuparsi di ciò che lo cinge.
La tua foto mi dà invidia di acquistare talmente l'obiettivo Canon corrispondente al tuo: il lavoro sul DOF è bellissimo.

E fai bene, cara Cris, ad osservare il mondo che ci circonda, perchè è un modo perfetto per arricchirci interiormente. Una cosa che faccio spesso anch'io, non solo negli aeroporti. Tra l'altro, osservare le persone lo considero una dote essenziale per diventare un bravo fotografo, indipendentemente dalla macchina fotografica o dai megapixel a disposizione. Probabilmente, anzi, certamente, questa stupenda composizione non sarebbe stata creata da una persona che no sa cogliere l'atmosfera intorno a se. Il profilo e l'espressione assorta di questa ragazza sono stati catturati in modo perfetto, anche se quel volto sfocato nel FG aggiunge un particolare valore all'immagine, direi quasi onirico. Tu fotografi in modo stupendo, bravissima!

La vita é tutta una lunga attesa, no? Aspettiamo sempre qualcosa...sperando, pregando chi non si sa, nella supplica intensa e talvolta inutile.
E' molto bella questa tua foto, Cristina, il profilo di questa ragazza é dolce e pensieroso. Lei aspetta, paziente. Come in fondo facciamo tutti noi. Tanto aver fretta non serve a nulla.

Ciao Cri. Non ti nascondo la difficoltà che tuttora ho ne torvare parole adatte. Eppure è da ieri ogni tanto ritorno su questa foto. Dal punto di vista tecnico nulla da eccepire. Intensità, da interpretare certamante, come arma vincente.
