Photographer’s Note

yesterday,at about 5 pm
red sky over Mannheim,
seen from my balcony.
And it was raining.

posprocessing???
I only sharpened and added a frame.
the workshop shows a closer view without the roofs.

tolle Ueberraschung! wer haette mal gedacht, dass Mannheim auch einen so flammenden Sonnenuntergang anbieten koennte??
so ein ding habe ich soweit nur in Southwest USA erlebt...

Splendid image. The colours are so firy.
You can almost see the flames on the edges
of the clouds near the left roof top.

Hello Andreas,

At this time of the year, we seem to be getting some very interesting, even dramatic skies. I, for one, love to see the colours that Nature can achieve, in the sky.

This one resembles molten lava! It appears to be crossing the sky as if it were tumbling down the side of a volcano! I like how the buildings and trees are silhouetted against the smouldering mauves and oranges! The simple black border is perfect to complete the effect.
