Photographer’s Note
Debno is a village in Brzesko County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is the seat of the Gmina Debno. It lies approximately 8 kilometres east of Brzesko and 57 km east of the regional capital Kraków. The village has a population of 1,400.
One of the most impressive knight castles in Poland - built 1470-80 in the late Gothic style, commissioned by Jakub of Debno (coat of arms Odrowaz), the Chancellor of the Crown (previous title of Polish Prime Minister) and the Cracow's Castellan.
