I've been photographying since almost 50 years. And I've been to different part of my beloved city, beloved country and beloved world. Many times I had serious problems to get the best view or even to get the chance to make some good captures.
I never can forget the day when I was trying to make a capture of two cute İsraeli kids in the district Meashearim in Jerusalem with orthodx jews. Only seconds after this capture an elderly man run towards to me , took my camera (it was a Nikon 601) and smasched to the stone pavements of the street !
And this capture, the day of this capture (6th November 2009) will also remain an unforgattable day.
At this Friday I climbed on a steel scaffold to the dome of the famous Byzantine church (than a mosque and today a museum) Hagia Sophia in İstanbul.
It was amazing ! But I wished I could do it some 20-25 years ago ! At the age of 67, those 56 meters climbing seemd to me like a moonwalk !
Anyhow this is the first one of this unforgotable day; some others will follow during next few days.
And the main reason of my mounterring, should remain a surprise. I'll show you as last entry at the end of this series.

Unfortunately the scaffold was been covered, due to security reasons with a net, and I could not avoid it.

50 seneden beri fotoğrafla uğraşıyorum. Sevgili şehrimin, sevgili ülkemin, sevgili, dünyamın pek çok yerini fotoğrafladım bugüne kadar.
Pek çok kez, iyi bir bakış açısı yakalamakta, iyi bir kare bulmakta çok zorlandığım oldu.
Unutamadığm anılarım oldu; örneğin bir İsrail seyahatimde, Kudüs’ün en muhafazakar yahudilerinin oturduğu Meashearim bölgesinde, ik küçük yahudi çocuğunun resmini çektikten sonra, yaşlı bir yahudinin bana doğru koşup elimdeki Nikon 601’i omzumdan kopartıp kaldırım taşlarına fırlatıp parçalaması gibi.
6 Kasım günü çektiğim bu kare de o unutulmayacaklardan olacak.
O Cuma günü, Bizans’ın ünlü kartedrali (daha sonra cami, günümüzde de müze olan) Ayasofya’nın kubbesine tırmandım, zangır zangır sallanan çelik bir iskeleden.
Görüntü ve yaşadıklarım muhteşemdi ! Ama bu deneyimi 20-25 sene evvel yaşamak isterdim ! 67 yaşında ve de 56 metreye tırmanmak bana neredeyse “ayda yürümek” gibi geldi !
Her neyse, bu kare o gün çektiklerimden bir tanesı, önümüdeki günlerde birkaç kare daha gelecek.
Bu “dağa tırmanma” macerasının ana nedeni ise: ... Neyse o sürpriz kalsın. Bu serinin sonunda onunla da tanışacaksınız.
