Hi JJ,
I like this alot in B&W, such a classic and artistic feeling is evoked here. The figure and the contrast in tones are presented well in B&W and the mist adds a sense of atmosphere.

the paved way provides a pleasant and sharp light/shadow contrast...while everything on the background is blurred by the fog. and the girl's calling...and so she looks like being lost...not only in the fog

Magnifique cette mise en valeur du sol mouillé ! c'est très joli. J'aime beacoup cette silhouette qui avance dans cet environnement brumeux, c'est le côté mystérieux presque inquiétant, on se croirait dans un polar ! Très bien vu, bravo !

I don't know about you guys out there, but this is the first time I can actually connect to TE in 2 days...
it felt really like being in the mist =)
I can see you're starting to test your camera in difficult light situations - it would be interesting to see the exif data on this shot.
I find b/w night shots very evocative, suggestive if you want. maybe if one could not see her calling it would be more mysterious - but then again, life doesn't always have to be mysterious =)

to są właśnie jesienne klimaty....

nie wiem dlaczego, ale tego typu "poszukiwania" ostatnio mi pasują... jakis mam przesyt ludzi i ich twarzy... chyba, że są niezwykłe, odjechane, dziwne, inne...

Klimat jesienny ?
Doskonaly.
Przypomnialy mi sie czasy, gdy jesien byla moja ulubiona pora roku...Niestety, w Paryzu jest ona zupelnie bez zapachu, co zauwazylam od kiedy przyjechalam, i z ktorego to powodu czuje sie pozbawiona czegos bardzo waznego...Pory roku pachna, nastrajaja, a ja na tym wygnaniu ciagle w tym samym smrodzie na paryskim bruku wsrod wozow wiecznym stuku...
Dobre, bo pachnie, bo czuc wilgoc i mgle...
Bardzo na tak.

Almost everything is like from a classic movie. The wet cobbled stones, the tramway tracks (that don't fit!), the light from the lamps, the haze. But there where no mobile phones in the classic movies.
A very good snapshot. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Jan.
this is a wonderful night shot full of mood created by the wet cobblestones and this thick fog which seems to want to involve her.
It almost seems like a scene taken out of a movie where she's stressing to call someone and the phone as always doesn't work.

You seem to have adapted really well with your new 50D and sorting out a bunch of good new works and profiting fully of its great capacity to work with high ISO ratings.
