Photographer’s Note

Clusone is a small town and comune in the province of Bergamo, Lombardy, located in the middle of a plateau at 650 meters sourranded by the Alps.
Clusone was settled around 1.300 years before Christ by Orobian Celts.
It have less than 9.000 inahbitants but with the other cities of the Clusone Plateau it have more than 25.000 people that rise to over 60-70.000 during July, August and the Xmas vacation, thanks to the tourists, mainly from Milano.

In the picture a night view of Piazza dell'Orologio (Clock Square) with on the extreme left the Clock Tower with the big clock built in the 1583 by Pietro Fanzago and still working.
It tells not only the time but the month, day, duration of night and day, signs of the zodiac, phases of the moon, and more.

On the right side of the tower the Palazzo del Comune, built in the XII century. The paints on the facade were made between the XV and thwe XVIII century.
