Photographer’s Note
Here you can see the central square of Kayseri (in greek "Καισάρεια"="Kesaria"), the Cumhuriyet Meydani ("Square of the Republic"), with the Yeni Camii ("New Mosque") and the Citadel (the "Ic Kale"="inner fortress") of the old fortified town.
It is considered one of the fastest developing cities in Turkey, financially and comercially. The rapid increase of its population proves it. On the other hand, it is also considered one of the most "conservative" cities of Turkey (along with Konya) in religious terms and the islamic rules are followed strickly.
As a consenquence, there 's not much to do in Kayseri at night. You can find some extremely good Iskender Kebab, excellent pastirma, but almost no alcohol at all, except on the bars of some major hotels. This photo was taken from the roof bar of a big hotel.

Sharpness, exposure, colors, high pov and composition are truly excellent!
The fg is wonderful with all those architectural details togethere with the avenues and all the traffic!
The bg is also pretty interesting with all the small lights and details of the landscape, such as those two mounts back there!

lovely night shot Hercules...nice to see you around central anatolia:) in this way; you share with us incredible pictures.
the difficulty of such a shot is well known to any photographer, but you managed to balance all the light sources and get a fine image with good details. Even the clearity and sharpness are well recorded.i always like night shots but haven't taken any of them:)
really, Kayseri is one of the most important cities in Turkey as its culture and history. the citadel in the square looks very aesthetic in your shot.thank you for sharing this dreamlike view.
all the best

Hercules, I know you prefer 'Blue Hour' light and combine it with the city 'Yellow' lights. The end result is excellent.

Πολύ όμορφη νυχτερινή άποψη της πόλης σε ένα υπέροχα φωταγωγημένο κάδρο με εξαιρετική την αντίθεση του μπλε ουρανού. Εξαιρετική τεχνική φωτογράφιση.

Hi Hercules
You were certainly in the right spot to take this shot. It is well composed with the curving roadway at the bottom left intersection. Also the orange lights compliment the the blue in the sky.
Well done my friend.

Hi Hercules,
there are many curves or half circles in here..( the streets, the dome, the hill..).. elements that give harmony. Beautiful one.

"one of the fastest developing cities in Turkey, financially and comercially"... who cares... socially going back so fast at the same time thanks to the AKP mentality... religion is strangling the social life... like many other anatolian cities have been experiencing in the last two decades... (according to the statistics not only the number of bars, clubs, alcolhol selling shops are decreasing rapidly, but also the number of bookstores, theaters, cinemas etc in anatolian cities... surprised?... me not!... the only social thing left out there is eating kebab in a restaurant...)
saudi arabia is so rich financially and commercially... but who would want to be a woman living in that country?... or even in dubai... as a local woman i mean of course, not as one of those creme de la creme eurpean ladies living and working in one of those skyscrapers away from the real local life where sharia law rules...
turkey soon to be like that i am afraid... rich and developed at first sight... but with a mediaval social life...
beautiful shot anyway giritli mou...
kisses to you both...

Hello Hercules,
A very pretty blue-hour shot, love the golden glow of the city lights and traffic, especially the big "smile" formed by the bend in the road. Excellently managed light, as always, and good composition, with the light parts in the foreground and the progression to darkess as we move farther away.
But brrr, reading your note and then Korkut's has given me the shivers! Hopefully, not a complete progression to darkness in that regard.
Have a nice Sunday! Best regards from Prague, Dasha

Hello Hercules.
Great overview of Kayseri with a strange mix created by the modernity of all this cars rushing out thru the roads in front and the aniquity of the the old town and fortress on background.
Once again you handled perfectly the exposure and leave us a lot to watch even with this night photo.
Cheers.

Hola Hercules,
Josep

Geia sou Hercules, wow what a town. The panorama is absolutely spectacular, combining those beautiful Blue Hour hues with the gold lights. I love the effect of the long exposure on the road, it looks like water or ice! And the mosque is just beautiful. TFS and have a happy week, Lisa

Hello Hercules,
I will like to be able to make such a beautiful photograph of night, it is a success. I like much the smoothness of all the details composing the image and this beautiful management of the lights. Marvellous panorama. I appreciate too the dynamics formed by the cars moving in contrast with the car stopped. Good lesson of photograph, thank you Hercules
With all my friendships and a very good evening,
