On left bank of the coastal river Lez, also canal de Palavas, catalan boats with latin rigging of association LATINA CUP in Palavas.

The Lez is a coastal river of 30 km which run in the French department of Hérault, while passing by Montpellier, and are thrown in the Mediterranean, to Palavas-les-Flots.

Palavas-les-Flots is a French commune of the department of Herault, Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 5421 "Palavasiens" distributed on 2,4 km² is 2 278 hab./km².

Palavas-les-Flots is a seaside resort located at 12 km from the center of Montpellier, on the Gulf of Lion and Mediterranean. Its emerged territory is composed of dune cords separating two ponds and the sea. The principal agglomeration is with the outlet of the channel which connects the coastal river Lez to the sea. It is one of the principal seaside resorts attended by Montpelliérains and Héraultais of the back-country.
