Photographer’s Note

I did not know Martigues, and yet I is only with 45mn, it is by seeing the photographs of Eric bergése (loook13) that I knew this city, then in front of returning for work in Vitrolles, I were courageous and rising earlier to be at the ideal early hour to obtain the best light (8h30), here thus an image of the Marceau quay in the island not far from the mirror to the birds.

Martigues is located on the south-western edge of the Pond of Berre, on both sides of the channel of Caronte which connects the pond to the Sea Méditerranée1. The commune extends from the Blue Coast (in the south) while passing by the villages from Saint-Pierre-les-Martigues, Saint-Julien-les-Martigues, the Crown, Carro, Lavéra, until that of Cross-Holy in north. It gives to south-west on the gulf of Fos and to the North-East on the pond of Berre, for a total of 7 144 hectares including 697 hectares of forests and 40 kilometers linear maritime including 11 on the Mediterranean coast. The name of Martigues is attached to its plural, indeed one still spoke about Martigues in 1890

De belles couleurs et une jolie réflexion rendent cette photo très plaisante.
Je n'en suis pas très loin également, et pourtant je n'y suis jamais aller faire des photos comme quoi ...

Bonjour Gilbert ,
Et bien oui , on aurait pu croire à une photo de Eric , qui nous a si bien présenté cette cité , et donné envie d'y aller . Mais pour moi , c'est un peu loin !Une superbe composition , des reflets somptueux , et une exposition bien équilibrée entre zones fortement éclairées et parties à l'ombre .

Nice double perspective with the reflections. POV is very well chosen. Light is diffucult thoug, and I feel that a grad filter or a correction by HDR would have been useful to tame the OE.

Je dis bravo Monsieur!
Trés belle photo, une super lumière matinale, tu as béneficié d'une eau calme , ce qui as pu te donner un trés beau reflet, et surtout tu as cadré plus large que moi et c'est trés joli.

oui,les lumières du sud sont bien différentes des lumières de Normandie!Tout est si bleu,si gai,si lumineux,bien que ce soit le mois de Novembre!Tu as bien fait d'être courageux,car la lumière du matin est très belle,et elle amplifie bien sûr la beauté du reflet!Superbe!

la photo appartient à ceux qui se lèvent tôt. Bravo pour cette vue et sa superbe lumière. En plus cela permet de voir la différence entre un 12mm et un 18mm (avec la photo d'Eric).

Tu nous offres à travers cette réalisation une lumière valorisant Martigues d'une bien belle façon. J'aime le contraste entre la lumière et l'ombre. J'apprécie également les reflets des façades telle une peinture dans les eaux calmes du canal.
Les couleurs sont d'une grande beauté.

Très bel effet du grand angle, une lumière certe qui donne de superbe reflets, juste un peu dommage pour le rendu des couleurs des façades trop clair pour moi!!!mais bon, c'est moi :-)
