Photographer’s Note

Photo taken during my flight with a hot air baloon over the unbelievable landscape of Cappadocia (***ONE MORE PHOTO HERE***). A unique experience, although quite expensive. A unique feeling, like flying and floating at the same time, defying gravity, a feeling of freedom!

The standard flight (1 hour in the air) will cost you about 150 Euros, the longer flight (1 1/2 hour) quite more. The are different sizes of "baskets" for the passengers, for 20, 12, 8, even just for 2 persons, for "private" flies, but this last one will cost you even more!!!.

You'll have to wake very early in the morning to catch the flight, around 04:30, but I repeat, it's worth the trouble and the money. If you ever think to try a baloon flight, once in your lifetime, then Cappadocia is the place to do it!

Quelle vue !! Le paysage est vraiment fantastique, les reliefs sont sculptés par une très jolie lumière rasante, çe qui donne un bon contraste. C'est sûr que ça doit être sympa la montgolfière pour faire de la photo ! j'immagine que l'on voit les paysages d'une façon différente et qu'il y a de l'originalité dans les prises de vue. Et dans ton cadre la montgolfière jaune est superbe. Bravo !

ok, now I really have to concentrate not to drop everything, pack a bag and head to Cappadocia, the light and landscape are pure magic, and with the yellow balloon the scene is completely out of this world. I'm ready to skip sleep at all to see (and pgotograph) something like this. pretty much everything is perfect, I especially like how the ridge of the mountains form a diagonal through the image. great, really great.

Wow, a magical light! Congratulations, Hercules!
The landscape is unbelievable. Your pictures are really making me want to travel to this place.
You did extremely well at composing the shot given that you were only a passenger not in control of the "vessel" - the diagonal path divides the picture perfectly, separating the illuminated and dark parts of the landscape, and you could not ask for a better placement of the other balloon.
Just one question: where do they land among all these spikes? ;-)

Obviously, it is expensive, but which experience. Certainly one of big souvenir of a life, then, you should not hesitate!
I am really amazed by this white. When we are below, fairies' chimneys (it is the name which we give to this relief in French, I do not know how we say in English) have golden colors, here we would say stalagmits. Did you make a particular colors treatment ?
The result is as well beautiful as spectacular.

Flight with a hot air ballon must be verry nice and I think is best way to take picture from air.

An excellent pov dominating these so spectacular rocks! the light/shade created a nice contrast and the colours are superb! The well positioned montgolfier is the icing on the cake ;)

C'est une photo sublime, d'une beauté extraordinaire.
La qualité technique, la composition, les couleurs, tout est superbe. J'ai fait aussi un vol en montgolfière, mais c'était au-dessus des châteaux de la Loire, et c'était le soir. Quant à la Cappadoce, je ne l'avais jamais vu comme cela.
