Photographer’s Note
A lioness having her daily rest in the shade after a ight of hunting. In the Kruger National Park (one of the largest in the world) there lives about 2000 lions. How ever the Park is so large that you can travell a whole day without seeing a singel one of them...

Hej Stefan,
A perfect picture! Very sharp and very close (actually, how close were you?). This lioness looks very relaxed while resting in the shadow. Were there more lions around too? Whatever, this is really a very successful photo.
Hälsningar från hösten, 5 grader i Göteborg...

Hello Stefan,
Seems like this fine lady has found a shady spot for her siesta!
I like the expression in her face, for some reason lions seem so friendly hehehe...
A well framed wildlife scene with good details!

Hej Stefan,
I saw about four lions during a day in the Ngorongoro park in Tanzania (and didn't bring a camera!). Maybe there were more that I just didn't notice because they really blend well with the surroundings. At least this one does. You have captured very well the awesome feelings of seeing one of these marvellous animals up close.
Hälsningar.
Gert
