Saint-Martin de Toques castle, Saint-André-de-Roquelongue

One sight.
Other sight.

The medieval castle, of the 10th 11th 14th 17th centuries, dominates since 978 the landscapes of vines and garrigues, near the famous abbey of Fontfroide.
It was initially the property of the Viscounts of Narbonne. For a long time with the abandonment, it was repurchased in 1990 and superbly restored by its private owners.
It is classified with the historic buildings since 1926.

A calade reaches two concentric enclosures surrounding a square fortification of the 17th century and a chapel of the 12th century.

Saint-André-de-Roquelongue is a French commune, located in the department of the Aude of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 828 Saint-Andrélongois in 1999, distributed out of 30 km², that is to say 28 hab./km².
