Photographer’s Note
In harsh winter of 1941, when Leningrad (todays St-Petersburg) was besieged by Nazis, special force of vessels, capable of ice-breaking, was settled, to bring supplies to the city by water of Ladoga Lake.
Small trawler "Izhorets-6" are one of the vessels that remains of that midget fleet, now at rest in the Museum of Road of Life.
Thousands of soldiers and tons of supplies were delivered to the City during 900 days of the Siege on this small thing.

Standing on the open grounds, under the harsh weathers right near Ladoga Lake, it's of course become little rusty.
It was repaired couple of years ago by the crew of nearby ship repair facility during their holidays and free of any payment - thanks to them!

Hello uhu-uhu,
One can see from the shape of this vessel it is build to handle ice in harsh winters!
Considering the age I think it looks quite good, and I suppose some renovation is planned since the ship is taken care of and put ashore...
A well framed documentary, good details!

Hello Uhu,
Good photo with good history behind it.
Not just a small thing as you put it.
It has my respect for the lives of people that this small boat along with others also saved in this time of siege of the city.
Thanks to the people and these small boats.
Regards
Robert
