Photographer’s Note
The Beehive Geyser has been known to reach 200ft (60m) and is one of the tallest and unpredictable geysers in Yellowstone. This eruption occurred right after Old Faithful in my last post. It was a long walk to get any closer before it finished so this was the best I could do with my 24-105mm lens in low light.

Nice to see the tiny people near the spray of the geyser. They set the scale and "fill" the frame.
Beautiful pink sky.

Hello Phil!
Your trip to Yellowstone was really "fruitful"! Great landscape photography, showing very well the power of nature! Great light management, great composition and framing, the inclusion of the group of people to the right is crucial, to give us an idea of scale!

Hi Phil,
This is a great shot from the Beehive geyser, in splendid clors, good contrast with the red sky, well captured, good work.
Thanks

Hi Phil,
Splendid vertical presentation of this dramatic geyser.
Love how the mist reaches the beautiful pink sky.
