Photographer’s Note
A quick switch to my homeland, Laos. A dear friend here on TE who is visiting this area of my homeland will be returning home to Spain soon, and I like to welcome him home with this image. It is alos a last post before I took off for two weeks and this image will also welcome me when I return. This is also a very nostalgic image for me, A life style that was familiar to me when I was younger, yet it’s strange to me now. It was over 20 years ago since I left Laos. Being back there is like being caught between dream and reality.
Just around the corner of Li Phi Waterfall in Don Khon in Si Phan Don,
I was there to watch the sunset. The sound of the waterfall so deafening and perpetual, yet it felt calm and peaceful. I was awed by such beauty that surrounded me. Follow the direction of the river flow toward the sunset you can see many local along the edge of the water catching fish with nets as the fish jumping upstream. This only happen when the water level is low in January, in the dry season. During this time the river is not as muddy as in the rainy season.
Thank you for your comments, if I don’t get to it, I will catch up with everyone when I return.

Hello Way! This is such a nice gift for your TE friend. I always love this corner when you show it to us and the way you present your homeland. The little bit of orange in the water is really lovely. THESE things ... sometimes they are just there for you, many times you have to see them, most don't.
Yeah, getting ready for another trip!!! Have a wonderful vacation and when it is too cold, think of this picture and it will warm you up, at least a little :))) AND: bring back tons of new material for us, but also great memories, meeting new friends, see ... but not only through your camera but sometimes without. ENJOY!!!!! Gruesse ... Barbara.

Hello Way,
A dynamic frame, the rushing water adds drama to the shot and I love the reflected sunset in the extreme foreground.
The amount of haze has added much to the setting sun.
That looks like a slow way to catch fish.

Hi Way
Good warm cold color contrasts, between the blue and orange, with a wonderful fg reflection in the river, and superb sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Way,
A beautiful scene for a home welcoming. Lovely colours from the end of the day as the orange just touches the blue waters. The river is flowing by so fast as I feel time flows by so quickly too.
Have a good and safe journey.

Sabaidie Way
Its always a pleasure to see pictures from your homeland. You had some lovely shots from this place with the beautiful turquoise water, the waves lapping the rocky shore, and what's best here is the slice of red in the FG and also in the tips of sime waves, which is the reflection of the morning sun. Beautiful!
Best Regards

Hi Way, this series of photos are what drew me to your Gallery many months ago! I love the effect of the light on the water. It's a lovely welcome home present to your countryman and a nice present for us. Your Note is lovely, full of memories and nostalgia for your wonderful homeland. Hello Way,
This scene looks so unusually and beautifully. The composition with the pure water reflecting the sun light, expressive rocks and the sunset sky is perfectly good. The people at the water are an important part of the composition. Very good picture, giving a special lyrical mood!
Best regards,

Hi Way,
Quelle belle vue ! La lumière donne des couleurs exceptionnelles, dans l'eau et dans le ciel. L'écume dans l'eau donne une vitesse d'action bien capturée. Bravo à toi !

Hello Way,
Two weeks, it's too long... for me ! ;-)
I'm glad to see images from your homeland. I didn't know that you were born in Laos even if your picture in your intro made me think that you were Asian. Asia is really the continent I dream to visit.
I can imagine this shot is an emotional one for you...
Beautiful shot with very nice colors. I'm impressed by the river color. It's so clear ! More clear than a sky ! Really nice shot.
I like this sensitivity that emanates from you through your photos Way.
Have a good trip.
I'm waiting you.

Hi Way,
What a lovely capture. All the elements in right place.
The sun behind the cloud, bluish mountain, rugged rocks,
small waves of the turquoise water and the humans makes this
picture complete. Well done.
Have a nice week.

Hi Way
That's a pretty mirage, with this orange brightness in the water, a vision like the imagination sends us in our dreams, no matter if it looks unrealistic. There is something in the colors here, that is as much charming as surprising, and a feeling of being lost at the end of the road which is very agreable. Your note, which evokes personal memories, is touching and adds to the picture even more interest. Bravo.

What a wonderful welcome ! Thanks Way. Just arrived. Li Phi Falls ... yes I have been there, but not during the same time as you, to watch the sunset. Different light.
The sound, the impressive waterfalls, so wild. Your photograph is absolutely beautiful, unique. Colors, light. I am still trying to be back into the reality of the daily life after two months away from home. Thanks again Way. An awesome gift !

Hi Way,
Your photo is also like a beautiful dream with the colors of the sky reflected in the turbulent water and the river leading us to the sky. The marks on the rocks show that the river is often much higher.
Hope you're having a great trip!
