Photographer’s Note
A geodesic dome is a type of structure shaped like a piece of a sphere or a ball. This structure is comprised of a complex network of triangles that form a roughly spherical surface. The more complex the network of triangles, the more closely the dome approximates the shape of a true sphere.
Here you can clearly see the triangular shapes making up the sphere.
In my post from yesterday I wanted to show this dome known as the Biosphere in full and in it's surroundings (it is now a museum about water and the enviroment). But I think that I prefer this close up.

ciao Wanda,
il cielo che fa da sfondo è semplicemente fantastico e forma con la cupola un'immagine quasi lunare.
Ottima composizione con un perfetta luce.
buona serata

Hello Wanda
I agree with you, i too enjoy the close up.
The composition is well thought out - it extends to the lower right corner, and up just past half way to the left.
The left sided heaviness is offset by the clouds moving in on the right.
True balance.
Good work with the polarizer as well, and depth of field.
great execution
Have a great day

Wow, Wanda! What a dream picture letting us float around with our minds, letting us forget a busy day at work with all the stuff you do not really want to know ... and land here on planet Montreal off the traffic noise and busy streets. Wonderful the clouds, great the steel construction of the dome ... blue, white and silver, what a dream team. Great, I really love this. Happy evening ... Barbara.

Hi Wanda,
Good creativity here.
Looks likes a structure in outer space.
Good POV. The blue seen through the
structure enhances the frame more.
Have a lovely week.

Bonsoir Wanda,
Très intéressante photo, on observe bien la structure et les petits nuages floconeux ajoutent une belle touche de lumière.

Hi Wanda,
You and me have another thing in common; we both prefer this version of the Biosphere... :-P)
Well, first I prefer colour photos nine times out of ten. Then, this abstract version have more impact, as it become more abstract and therefore catch the attention. You also have a great light this time, creating volume, contrast and dimension.
I also like the visual contrast between organic clouds and geometrical structure, softness and angles.
Minimalist and artsy image, excellent use of your polarizer and efficient composition.

Hi Wanda,
This one makes me feel like I'm already on the air plan looking down at the blue ocean, except for the dome. I will be soon looking down at this beautiful earth.
I love the the simplicity of this composition, the cloud again the deep saphire blue of the sky is just really fantasti. I would have just settle for that, but the doom adds to the composition nicely as well. Thanks.

hello Wanda
this picture make me think that you were very far from the earth, and that you were floating somewhere in the blue space or universe, and I like very much this feeling! The colors are superb,as the graphism and transparency of the geode!

hi Wanda,
love this shot, the clarity is amazing, and it create a spooky feeling that if you look a little longer to the dome, it seems to move... the sky is great too, and I agree that this one is even better than your yesterday's post. as Fulvio would say: simple + beautiful = simply beautiful :)
best,
Kristine

Hello Wanda,
A very surprising shot.
To me, it gives the impression of travelling in space!
The dof is perfect but I find it difficult to imagine your viewpoint. I think that's what gives this impression of space travel!
Very good composition.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)
