Rocher à tête d'indien Photo

Photographer’s Note

Dans le Tour de la Gaspésie le long de la 138, à un arrêt touristique, un petit sentier nous amène au rocher où l'on peut l'admirer de plus près
Une curiosité de Saint-Georges-de-Malbaie, le rocher à tête d'indien est une sculpture de la nature. Un visage imprégné dans le roc, le dos tourné à la mer.
Selon la légende, des européens venus sur un grand voilier on jeter l'ancre dans la baie de Pointe-Saint-Pierre. Alors qu'ils allaient chercher de l'eau et de la nourriture, ils aperçurent une princesse indienne avec ses enfants. Ils la capturèrent et la ramenèrent en Europe.
Le triste visage que l'on aperçoit sur le roc est celui de son amoureux, attendant à tout jamais le retour de sa bien-aimée.

The inclusion of the small wooden fence in your composition was a great choice. it adds a sense of character and homliness.
The fence also helps to reduce and balance the strong right sided presence.
all the colours mix well together.

Bonsoir Emilius,
J'aime beaucoup cette photo, bien balancée avec un premier plan original. Une belle lumière éclaire le rocher et fait ressortir sa couleur orangée. Tu as capté quelques petites touches de bleu dans le ciel, cela complète bien la composition.

beautiful proportions...reminds me of spangmik in ladakh at 14000ft..close to the china border..yes the lake is at 14000 :)

Lovely shot! I like the fence in the FG and the rocky outcropping in the BG. Great details and exposure. The water looks like glass, so smooth. Beautiful natural colours of the rocks too. Great composition with the rocks off to the side. Well presented with a professional looking frame.

j'adore les couleurs de cette scène, un endroit totu simple mais qui déborde vraiment de charme. La nature a mis le temps pour pour le façonner.
Un très bon cadrage avec un avant plan très interessant.
