Photographer’s Note

Saarburg is a medieval town by the river Saar with a lot to see for a daytripper. Saarburg received city rights in 1291. Small Leuk river flows through the old town and cascades steeply to join Saar river. Old mill, nowadays a museum, is driven by the power of fast flowing water.

This is a great shot of this beautiful town. Your composition is great using the curving canal to lead the eye into the shot. The reflection is great and provides depth and balance for the shot. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has nice sharpness and DOF.

Hi Kari,I posted an almost similar view of Saarburg earlier his year, and I went there with a couple of TE members a week ago in saturday. The flowers are gone of course, but you can still sit outside on the terrace and have lunch. Nice shot with good natural colors. A lot of depth thanks to the use of the curve in the river Leuk.

Hej Kari,
The small river here curves very attractively with all these beautiful flowers on each side. Looks like very pleasant outdoor cafés also here and some beautiful buildings that are mirrored in the calm water surface.

A very nice city scape in squar format very well selcetd. The ggod POV give a greta prospect to the canal and the superb reflections of the coloured german houses. An iamge rich in details and in various colors very well collected.

Saarburg is a city situated not far away from Luxembourg which I know very well.Excellent colors, sharpness and amazing reflections in the water.I like the picture very much.TFS.

This is a fine composition, where the canal is effectively used as an element to create depth and dynamics!
Besides it works well as mirror too hehehe...
