Photographer’s Note

This image shows lake Nordaasvannet which is almost a lake just connected to the sea by a small passage. Its location is about 10 minutes to drive south of Bergen city center. It is strange to walk in these surroundings which is a bathing place, off season. The distant mountain at left side is Gullfjellet, the highest mountain in Bergen with its 987 masl. Even though we have the 9th of November, the temperature is quite pleasant with about 7 degrees C in spite of the nice weather conditions, which at this time of year often means a cold type of weather.

very nice view well managed.
I tought thtat at this tme of the year it was a little bit of snow and ice here, but here in Northern Canada it is the same the beginnibg of the winter is pretty warm but we have a little bit of snow.

Hello Erling,
you have found a nice POV for this lovely landscape shot. The lonely tree, the springboards and that diagonal rock formation make a really good foreground. I also like the calm water and the reflections on it. Your picture is well composed, even so I have tried a workshop with a slight cropping. Not very different, but I hope you like it.

Very aptly named photo you have here, it must have been a delight to see this and relax, despite the early morning and no doubt freezing temperature :)
Great use of the Depth of Field, it made the exposure dangerously slow but allowed to clearly see the whole depth.

A well chosen pov and a simple but wisely built composition. The view of this calm lake with the warm afternoon light conveys a relaxed and serene atmosphere but the real gem is that lonely pine tree which reminds of a Zen painting.
